I couldn't understand it until I started to delve into the body and mind as one organism and I noticed a link with my clients.
That noise, the noise which doesn't allow you to access that place where you can do what other people can.
I noticed.......Wait...... Symptom ........ That feeling........
that overwhelming feeling that stops you from doing everything, like a thousand voices all speaking at once....... and wait!!!!!!

Me - Well clearly not the menopause but two out of three ain't bad
Mental health concerns such as PTSD, ADHD, and menopause-related cognitive decline are increasing worldwide, impacting millions of individuals' daily lives. Research in nutritional neuroscience and neuroplasticity suggests a powerful, science-backed solution Omega 3's: but what if the combination of Omega-3 fatty acids and hypnotherapy occured - bingo.
Recent studies reveal that Omega-3 supplementation—particularly EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid)—optimises brain function, reduces neuroinflammation, and enhances cognitive flexibility. At the same time, hypnotherapy works on a subconscious level to reshape thought patterns and behaviour. Together, these approaches provide a synergistic method for improving brain health and emotional resilience.
As I started to look into the research and how this combination seemed to help me I dug deeper. In this blog I want to take you on a journey to what I believe could be the breakthrough.
Not all Omega-3 is the same and Zinzino realised that to get that EPA and DHA in your needed something else, polyphenals.
The brain is 60% fat, and DHA is its most abundant structural lipid. Omega-3s play a crucial role in neurotransmitter regulation, synaptic plasticity, and neuroinflammation control. Deficiencies have been linked to increased cognitive dysfunction, emotional instability, and heightened stress responses.
PTSD is characterised by heightened amygdala activity (fear response), impaired hippocampal function (memory), and chronic stress-related neuroinflammation. Omega-3s counteract these effects by:
✔ Reducing neuroinflammation – A 2018 study in Frontiers in Neuroscience found that EPA and DHA regulate immune responses, reducing overactive inflammatory pathways in PTSD patients.
✔ Enhancing emotional regulation – DHA increases serotonin and dopamine production,
key neurotransmitters for mood stabilisation.
✔ Strengthening memory and cognition – Research in Nature Neuroscience shows that DHA supplementation promotes hippocampal neurogenesis, aiding memory recall and cognitive flexibility.
✔ Regulating the stress response – Omega-3s modulate the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, preventing cortisol dysregulation.
ADHD is linked to dopaminergic dysfunction, poor executive function, and increased impulsivity. Studies confirm that Omega-3 supplementation improves attention, working memory, and emotional self-regulation.
✔ DHA strengthens the prefrontal cortex, which governs impulse control, sustained attention, and working memory.
✔ EPA reduces hyperactivity and emotional volatility, improving behaviour in ADHD-diagnosed children and adults.
✔ Balances dopamine levels, critical for motivation, reward processing, and problem-solving.
“A 2022 meta-analysis in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition concluded that DHA supplementation led to measurable improvements in attention span and cognitive flexibility in ADHD individuals”.
Menopause causes estrogen depletion, leading to decreased neurotransmitter efficiency, brain fog, and mood instability. Omega-3s help bridge this gap by:
✔ Enhancing myelin integrity – DHA strengthens neuronal insulation, improving processing speed and memory recall.
✔ Regulating serotonin and estrogen-related mood swings, reducing anxiety and depression symptoms.
✔ Preventing oxidative stress and neurodegeneration, lowering the risk of age-related cognitive decline.
"A 2021 study in Neurology found that postmenopausal women with higher DHA levels had significantly better verbal memory and executive function scores than those with low Omega-3 intake".
Synaptic pruning is a neurobiological process that removes weak or unnecessary neural connections, strengthening critical pathways for better cognitive efficiency. Disruptions in this process (as seen in PTSD, ADHD, and menopause-related cognitive decline) lead to:
✔
Excessive synaptic connections, resulting in sensory overload and emotional dysregulation.
✔
Inefficient processing, making it difficult to focus and retain information.
✔ Chronic neuroinflammation, which disrupts cognitive function and heightens stress responses.
✔ EPA reduces neuroinflammation, ensuring proper pruning of unnecessary synapses.
✔ DHA enhances microglia activity, preventing excessive synaptic overgrowth.
✔ Magnesium & zinc (found in Zinzino Viva) regulate neural efficiency, improving neurotransmitter function and learning capacity.
While Omega-3s like Balance Oil and products like Viva provide the biochemical foundation for brain health, hypnotherapy works on a subconscious level to rewire thought patterns and behaviour. This combination offers an accelerated, holistic approach to mental resilience.
✔ Regulates Emotional Triggers – PTSD and ADHD often lead to reactive emotional cycles. Hypnotherapy retrains the brain to respond rather than react.
✔ Breaks Negative Thought Cycles – Hypnosis interrupts maladaptive neural pathways and strengthens confidence-building circuits.
✔ Enhances Neuroplasticity – Since Omega-3s improve synaptic flexibility, hypnotherapy leverages this adaptability to reprogram habits, thoughts, and coping mechanisms.
A randomised controlled trial in Neuroscience & Biobehavioural Reviews found that hypnotherapy significantly reduced PTSD-related distress by modulating limbic system activity.
In this interview with BBC Radio Shropshire Channel 4's SAS Who Dares Wins Contestant shares her story about Hypnotherapy and PTSD
By integrating Zinzino BalanceOil & Viva with Hypnotherapy, individuals are more likely to:
✔ Have a solid biochemical foundation – Reduced inflammation, improved neurotransmitter balance, and optimized synaptic pruning.
✔ A rewired mindset – Strengthened emotional resilience and behaviour change.
✔ A holistic strategy for cognitive well-being – A natural approach to long-term brain health.
Whilst The Balance Oil literally balances the body Viva supports cognition straight away.
If you’re struggling with PTSD, ADHD, menopause-related brain fog, or simply want to improve focus and emotional well-being, this approach offers a way through, which is quick and natural then I am here to help.
